Near the passenger platform at the Devil's Gate Depot on the Georgetown Loop Railroad is a rock specimen display illustrating two common rock forms of the area: Silver Plume Granite and Banded Gneiss. Silver Plume granite was used for the Colorado State Capitol building in Denver.
