This Orientation Table points out the salient features of the landscape as you face northeast from the Desert View Overlook near the east entrance to Grand Canyon National Park.

The most distinctive feature of the Desert View area at the east entrance to Grand Canyon National Park is the Desert View Watchtower. Located just below the Watchtower is a lookout point that protrudes out slightly into the Canyon itself. At this lookout is an Orientation Table which helps you identify significant points of interest as you look northeast from this point.
