The entry point for divers is at the eastern edge of the lake. Stairs lead down to the lake, with large rocks at water level providing an easy access. A yellow buoy just left of the rocks marks the starting point. From there, a blue guidelines leads to two sunken train engines (marked by a red buoy) and a red guidelines leads to a training platform (marked by a white buoy). The the north of the entry point there's some sunken golf carts.
The resort charges $10 per diver. An on-site dive shop provides tank fills and gear rentals. They charge $5 for a tank fill and also $5 for a rental tank. During main season, the dive shop is open 7 days a week. Phone number for the dive shop is 1-855-894-4795.
The lake is spring-fed and the bottom can be quite cold (40-50 F) even in summer, with a strong thermocline at around 10-15 feet. Hood and gloves (or drysuit) required.
Visibility can be good very early in the season (up to around mid June or so). After that the algae and the vacation activity considerably lessens visibility, and it can be well under 10 feet at times.
There's no motorized boat traffic, but some vacationers use paddle boats on the lake. Watch your head.
