The stained glass might be almost 100 years old. There are two of them almost side by side. No one at the school has any idea nor any record of what the heck these are doing inside a public school. I got the impression of a decidedly religious theme to these but upon reflection, they seem like social studies projects on steroids. . They are on the second floor near the office. Sometimes the school is opened up to the public. During one of these open houses they have guided tours of the school. The bottom of the stained glass it titled Ancient Egypt. At the bottom left corner it reads presented by the student board.

The Frankford High school building is a jewel which largely goes unnoticed. The details found here and incorporated into the fabric of the school would never be found in a modern school are definitely worth a look see. When I visited I saw two sets of stained glass windows, other murals, a cool fountain/mosaic, fantastic woodwork and trim and huge, lofty ceilings. It was quite an experience walking through the halls. stained glass windows, murals, high ceilings, beautiful woodwork. The pipe organ is one of Frankford’s hidden treasures.
