Führt dieser Weg nun zu einer Kapelle die einem besonderem Anlass des neuen Testaments gewidmet ist, oder finden wir dort ein romantisches Platzerl an dem man Abends schöne Bilder aufs Papier bringen kann? Wie dem auch sei, von hier aus führt ein sehr schöner Weg zur 'Abendmahlkapelle', wie die Landkarte verrät. Der Spaziergang ist leicht und schön, die Kapelle ist sehenswert, und bereits bei den Koordinaten des Schildes hat man einen wunderschönen Ausblick auf den Chiemsee. In unmittelbarer Nähe, bei N 47° 47.841 E 12°21.563 findet man den gleichen Fehler noch einmal (siehe Bild). Bitte entschuldigt meine Rechtschreibfehler, aber ich bin weder Linguist, noch Verkehrszeichenhersteller - drum darf ich das.
Does this trail now take you to a chapel (Kapelle) which is dedicated to the last supper (Abendmahl), or to a chapel, where it is nice to draw ('mal') in the evenings ('Abend' - hence 'Abendmal', not Abendmahl)? As the map tells us, it is the former. In any case the hike to the chapel is nice, the chapel is worth seeing, and already at the coordinates of the sign you have a great view down to lake Chiemsee. A few meters from here (at N 47° 47.841 E 12°21.563), there is another sign with the same typo (see pictures). My apologies for my own typos in this listing, but I am not a linguist, nor am I a manufacturer of street signs.
