This war memorial sits on a high point on the southwest corner of The First German Reformed Church Cemetery overlooking the farms below near Ragersville, Ohio.
The monument is a white marble obelisk about twenty feet high, topped by an eagle with wings spread mounted on a ball. The above inscription is inscribed on the base in raised black lettering. The word "LIBERTY" is on the side. It rests on a white stone slab surrounded by a black chain hung from white stone posts about two feet high.
