The campus of the University of Central Oklahoma has many benches and trees dedicated to various people who have played a part in the history of UCO.
On the west side of the Coyner Health Science building, this tree is placed as a memorial to the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building bombing which took place on Apri1 19, 1995. Around the base of the tree, paving stones are placed in the shape of a heart. A granite marker, with the folded ribbon insignia reads as follows:
"In memory of the April 19, 1995 Oklahoma City Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building bombing victims, their families and volunteers. We will always remember you! University of Central Oklahoma Nursing Class of 1996 and faculty."
