Googie McDonalds on Route 5 - Holyoke, MA - Googie Architecture on Waymarking.com

When they decided to replace the McDonalds on Route 5 in Holyoke they chose a 1950's retro look. Classic 1950's Googie architecture with angled up-swept overhanging roof and wrap-around glass in front. Twin arches on either side (exposed steel beams) - not double arches and the smiling hamburger logo complete the classic look. On the more modern side - there are twin drive-up windows and an outdoor eating area.
