Long time Gatlinburg tourist attraction is Hillbilly Golf. The novelty is first riding a incline railcar 300 ft the steep hillside, then playing one of two courses with various themed decorations. The course played was not particularly difficult, but the thick tree-shading was welcomed on the 90F afternoon (thus really limited views).
The $8-11 price is "steep" like the layout, but typical for a tourist destination like Gatlinburg. Price also includes parking and taxes - payable in cash only - no credit cards. (FYI - we also noticed that American Express and Discover are not taken much around here due to their high transaction fees per one merchant.)
