This station, a U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey standard bench mark disk, is located in Hancock, NH. It is set in a concrete post directly across a rail bed from the now-decommissioned Hancock train station and depot. The train station is located on Depot Road, about 0.3 mile north from the junction of Depot Road and Stoddard Road (NH Rt. 123).
It is 0.5-ft above ground level, 26-ft southeast from the center of the rail bed, 47-ft south from the northeast corner of the train station, and 50-ft east from the southeast corner of the train station.
According to NGS records, this station is 'presumed destroyed', and information they have on file is limited because of this. You will also find that this station does not appear on the Geocaching Benchmark Viewer (Scaredycat Films) site. Obtaining information that is available is a little tricky, compared to a station that is 'active'. The NHDOT still uses this mark, and consequently their datasheet has the most current description available, especially the to-reach information.
