A "butterfly" cross made with two pieces of metal bent to form the wings of a butterfly. The two pieces are joined together where they bend, one atop the other, to form a cross.

In front of outdoor mausoleum toward the back of the cemetery.

Inscription: (On base:) Lord, by your Cross and Resurrection You Have Set Us Free.

On the sculptor's website: (visit link)
he lists Richard Cummings as the architect. Additionally at (visit link) he says that the sculpture is 62' high by 15' wide by 2' deep. He continues that initially the cross design was not well received, but eventually the local Cardinal Cody proclaimed that the butterfly was a ancient Christian form representing the Resurrection. And so his vision was allowed to soar.
