Early 20th century construction blends in well with the Colonial atmosphere of the street and the historic district. It is one of the larger pieces of real estate along this 17th century road.

Just because it ain't two hundred years old don't mean it can't contribute. So, you get what we have here, a newer building, probably form the fifties but still a contributing structure. The brick exterior and the somewhat intricate wood trim are the deciding factors here as well as the shutters and six over six windows make it somehow an authentic historic structure.

For a more detailed and informed physical description of this site, I have added information from the original nomination form sent to me by John P. Byrne, National Register Database Manager (John_Byrne@nps.gov), Department of the Interior. This narrative was created March 16, 1979, mailed in to Washington, D.C. and evaluated April 18, 1980 and finally approved on July 21, 1982. Thanks to this designation and the efforts of the community to stop developers in the early 70s, Haddonfield is permanently protected and is one of the best example of an intact Colonial America.

2-story, colonial-stye building, houses three shops on first floor. Flat roof, red brick and frame lower section, divided light bulk windows, recessed entrances. Slate pent roof. Second floor has double hung windows, six over six lights with shutters. Shops in unity. Very well done. --- National Register of Historic Places Inventory -- Haddonfield Historic District Nomination Form
