The Port Whitby Municipal Public Launch Ramp is one of the finest ramps in the Durham Region with a gradual slope and a ridged concrete base for excellent traction. The ramp, which was opened in the Spring of 1997 can facilitate three trailers simultaneously and has a paved parking lot with ample room to park your vehicle and trailer. The ramp is located off Gordon St and launches into the protected confines of The Whitby Harbour.
A height restriction of 10 feet 6 inches is in effect as the ramp was constructed to serve recreational small craft. Larger boats can be launched or hauled out at Port Whitby Marina.
