The White Hart is the sign for the County of Hertfordshire and is to be found on the Coat of Arms and Building's around Hertford.
Less than a month after its introduction into the Aylesbury drinking and dancing scene, a second Wetherspoon is being opened. The Chicago Rock Cafe on Exchange Street has undergone a £830,000 refurbishment programme, creating a total of 45 new jobs. It has been renamed to The White Hart.
The White Hart now falls under the Wetherspoon’s Lloyds brand and is promising a more music orientated and dance friendly atmosphere. To promote this it will feature a new dance floor and offer music throughout the week, a DJ showing on Monday, Friday and Saturday nights.
Wheelchair access has been added with a new set of toilets especially for customers with disabilities.
There is also a beer garden out the front where smoking is permitted.
The name of the pub is in direct reference to the historic White Hart Inn that originally stood where The Exchange Leisure Park now stands. Dating back to Tudor times it was rebuilt in 1814, only to be demolished in 1864.
This is a fairly new Public House in this redeveloped area of Aylesbury
and was ropened in 2010.
