The current Brock Street Bridge replaced the former wooden bridge over the Canadian National and GO Transit rail lines. The original bridge was removed in 1985 and the new concrete bridge was built from scratch. During the construction, heavy traffic was routed to Thickson Road, and local traffic was able to use the Henry Street Bridge.
