A number of memorials have been added to the town common in West Springfield. In 2008, the town authorized the placement of a monument honoring West Springfield residents who died in this war as well as all others who served. It is located just east of the 9/11 eternal flame memorial.
The polished granite marker is inscribed:
Vietnam Veterans Memorial
Dedicated to those West Springfield residents who served in Vietnam with special recognition to the following who gave their lives...
