This Marker was placed by the State of Utah along with the National Geodetic Survey, Utah Counsil of Land Surveyors (UCLS), American Congress on Surveys and Mapping, and National Society of Professional Surveyors to mark the center of Utah's population per the 2000 Census.

This disc is embedded in concrete and located behind the Thanks Giving Point Water Tower.
