The Holland Building sits diagonally across the street from the Florida State Capitol building. It is one of the older white state office buildings located in downtown Tallahassee. The building was named in honor of Spessard L. Holland, who served as Florida's governor from 1941 to 1945. Holland was subsequently elected to the U.S. Senate in 1946. The Holland Building is currently occupied by State employees from various agencies.
