At the entrance of the Old Main on the Utah State University campus stands this bust statue of President Abraham Lincoln. The sculpture was placed at the university to inspire the students and faculty. His life and accomplishments are recognized by all that go there. A statue placed where students of so many ancestries all work and play and learn together, would serve to remind them of the miracle that character, courage, and work can accomplish. There hoping and believing that Abraham Lincoln, the frontiersman, may inspire the students at this school with the love of country, and the love for their fellow man without which true democracy can not exist.
