We had free passes to visit the Basketball Hall of Fame from the local newspaper. Since we live two miles away we usually go there when we get free passes. Once there, we were surprised to find Chris Matthews sitting alone in the bleachers of the auditorium. He was there in support of his wife Kathleen who was involved in United For Hope, an organization to improve public education. He was called upon to introduce his childrens' former babysitter who was one of the speakers. My wife, the political junkie of the family, talked to him and even got his autograph. She's not wild about basketball but enjoyed this day.
