This historical marker is hanging inside the Baxter County Courthouse. The coordinates are for front door of the courthouse. The marker is hanging inside on the left side of the hall. It documents the route taken by Cherokee Indians from Arkansas and Tennessee through the Mountain Home area on their way to Oklahoma. The marker was placed there by the 20th Century Club on January 27, 1966. There angle parking on three sides of the courthouse.
