The Shoshone Bannock Tribal Museum tells the story of the tribes and of the west. For example most residents of the United States have heard of the explorers Lewis & Clark. There is an excellent display, "Trading for Horses Commemoration of the Lewis & Clark Expedition Bicentennial". Inside the museum they have lots pictures and artifacts to learn about the history of Shoshone people. They have a small gift shop.
One of the interesting items that this museum has that not many museums have is the tribal mascot or symbol the buffalo. He is outside the museum in a fenced area for visitors to see.
