This is the start of Segment 6 (or end of segment 5) of the Colorado Trail. This trailhead has ample parking for up to 50 vehicles and breath-taking views. The register is located at 10.000' (3,048 km) above sea level! Dogs are allowed, but must be on a leash.

The trail is best used in the short summer months. The area is usually cool in the mornings and evenings, often with afternoon rain showers. This is a great place to visit during the fall when the aspen tress change color. There are no services at this trailhead (no water, no rest rooms, no food).
