Long Description:
The Orpheus fountain is located in front of the Concert Hall in Stockholm, Sweden. It was created in 1936 by Carl Emil Andersson Milles, who was at that time Sweden's greatest living sculptor. The 24-ft. bronze figure of Orpheus, demigod of Music, is poised with his great lyre lifted and the other hand just sprung from the strings. In the fountain below him there is a circle of eight listeners, wakened from death, turn outward and upward toward the music.
Visit Instructions:
Only one log per location per person (meaning multiple visits -> multiple logged visits -> OK!). You should log your own waymarked fountains as well. After all, you did in fact visit the area to which you marked to way.
Even if an individual waymark owner has a requirement indicating a photo is required, it is not. If there is any dispute, contact the category management group for clarification.
