The plaque on this building reads:
"FEHRENBACHER BUILDING
The commercial structure was built in
1900 as a passenger depot for the E.J. &
E. Railway. The original structure
included horizontal bands of unglazed
Midland terra cotta trim around the
windows. Tiny electric lamps provided
definition of the cornice on the original
structure. Additions were made to the
structure in 1928 along with alterations
to the building facades."
