The Phelps-Bourland residence at 519 High Street was built in 1852.  The was initially by William R. Plelps and later by his business partner Benjamin L.T. Bourland.  Mr. Bourland was an important person in the development of Peoria and was very involved in banking and real estate.  The house has been modified over the years and is in very good condition.
