The Erie Zoo Garden Railway consists of a 1500-square-foot model railroad garden which features 4 garden-scale trains on 450 feet of track. The garden-scale trains are 1/29th the size of life-sized trains
Erie General Electric Federal Credit Union is the main sponsor of the train display. The train garden cost about $15,000 to build, and the credit union made a commitment of $20,000 to help pay for the maintenance of the trains and the landscaping, among other zoo projects.
Free parking is available. Entrance fees are as follows... $8 for adults 13 & over $6 for senior citizens ages 62 & over $5 for children ages 2-12 The Zoo is open Monday thru Saturday from 10 am until 5 pm and Sunday from 10 am until 6 pm.
