This red and white “Hole in the Barn Door” quilt is found on a farm outside the Urbandale city limits. It is mounted next to the door on a metal utility shed that doubles as a garage. If the wind is blowing, the leafy tree limbs may block part of the quilt. It is on the west side of 170th Street.

I was on my way up to Dallas Center to document several other waymarks in the area when this quilt block caught my eye.
