This marker is located at Sample Park in Lake Hamilton, Florida. There are actually two separate markers in this park. The on located in the park nearer the lake is dedicated to the park's namesake, Dr. Clarence Leroy Sample and his son James Milton Sample.
Sample Park is located on the shores of Lake Hamilton in Lake Hamilton, Florida. A marker located between the parking area and the road is dedicated to Seminole Chief Chipco and his village that was located on nearby Bonars Island.
The marker near the roadside reads for Chief Chipco reads;
"In memory of Chief Chipco. Lover of peace, friend of the white man. His Seminole indian village was located on Bonars Island in Lake Hamilton 1855. Dedicated by the Ponce De Leon Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution, Winter Haven, Florida, 1957"
