Omaha's four story flatiron building fills a narrow triangular shaped block bordered by 17th,18th,Saint Mary's and Howard streets. George Printz was the architect and it was originally a hotel. Offices now occupy the upper stories and the FlatIron Cafe, one of Omaha's best restaurants, is located on the ground level at the pointed end. The building was placed on the National Historical Register on September 21, 1978.
