Aldi supermarkets, as they are called in Australia, are only found in the eastern mainland states - NSW, Victoria & Queensland.
They have their own brands plus some well known Australian brands such as Vegemite. Since this one opened it has proven very popular & has been expanded in size. Personally I like to get in & out of supermarkets as quickly as I can & this is the way it is at Aldi. Very few aisles, limited range & speedy checkouts. They have specials on Thursdays & often the carpark is full before they open the doors!
Aldi is a welcome addition to the highly competitive Australian supermarket sector.
