This El Camino Real Bell is almost hidden in oleander bushes on the north side of the grass area east of the Adobe.

Rancho Guajome was likely an early outpost to support travelers on El Camino Real. While not directly on the actual route linking the missions, it is not far east of Mission San Luis Rey. It probably was one of numerous ranchos or agricultural enterprises that kept the mission stocked with the necessities of frontier living.
