This Operations Mission Briefing Hut is on display at the Hill AFB Aerospace Museum. It gives a great example of what pilots experienced pre and post flight missions.
The Sign on the hut reads:
This exhibit depicts the typical 8th Air Force mission briefing hut in England during World War II. The target for today is Leipzig and the B-24s of the 860th Bomb Squadron will be carring 1,000-pound bombs.
Every briefing room was different, but they all had the bare essentials: a large wall-mounted map with a red ribbon or cord showing the daily mission route, a chalkboard detailing the lead, deputy lead, and other vital data, and a smaller board outlining the formation to be flown that day. There were also usually strike photos from the previous missions for review in the briefing.
