Veterans Memorial Green has developed into the historical and cultural hub of the Town of Agawam. There are many memorials to Agawam veterans from colonial times to the present and it is the site for community events, such as craft fairs, children's programs, parades and the annual Summerfest music concerts.
The gazebo is a great place to set up a picnic meal while enjoying these events. A bronze plaque lists the many town organizations that came together to provide for this community resource. The gazebo was dedicated on 31 May 1993.
