Hightown Common was acquired by the Nation Trust on 7 July 1986 and is therefore a relatively new acquisition for the trust. The land is 5.54 acres of open land in the New Forest, where ponies, owned by local 'commoners' are free to roam. The heath has a multitude of paths and tracks that are clear on the ground and make for a wonderful walk.
