Oakland Cemetery Hand Pump - Brockville, Ontario - Hand Operated Water Pumps on Waymarking.com

I've seen this old pump many times when visiting the Oakland Cemetery. It's close to several of my other waymarks in the cemetery. It's truly vintage as looking at the top of the pump it says "Smart's Foundry, Brockville". Opening in the 1870's and finally closing in 1967, Smarts Foundry was the biggest manufacturing industry in this part of Ontario. This is actually a real piece of Brockville history.
