Weehawken sits directly across for mid town Manhattan on the New Jersey Palisades. Hamilton Park is sandwiched between JFK Boulevard (also known as Boulevard East) and Port Imperial Boulevard which is below the park. This enables the spectacular panoramic view of New York City. Hamilton Park is also not far from the Jersey side terminus for the Lincoln Tunnel. On the southern end of Hamilton Park is the Weehawen Dueling Grounds where Aaron Burr mortally wounded Alexander Hamilton during a duel on July 11, 1804.
Our view has the Empire State Building on the right side of the photo. It is the tallest building standing by itself. Almost dead center is the Transamerica Building that looks like a pyramid. There is one docked luxury cruise lined docked at the may piers that line the shore line of the Hudson River on the New York side.
