Some info about Moon Rocks,
Rocks from the Moon have come to Earth in two ways, as Meteorites and as Samples brought back by missions from the United States and Soviet Union. Between 1969 and 1972, the crew of six U.S. Apollo missions brought back 842 pounds of lunar rocks. In all, 2200 seperate samples from six different exploration sites were brought to Earth. Nasa has retained 711 pounds of lunar samples. The rest have been loaned to various institutions for display.
