The George F. Haines International Swim Center is located in Central Park in Santa Clara, CA. It opened circa 1960. The swim center has an Olympic sized pool in the middle. It's home to many swim meets, including the Santa Clara International Grand Prix. In the summer time its also open to the general public.
About the person:
George Frederick Haines 1924~2006 was a swimmer and swim coach. He coached at the swim center, as well as UCLA and Standford University. Haines was the coach of the US Swim team at th 1960 Summer Olympics and he coached the Standford team to the NCAA championship in 1983.
