In Boston, within the New England Aquarium, on the 2nd level, is a rotating globe of the earth.

This earth is very detailed, showing the earth as if the oceans were removed so that the ocean floor is visible. Features on the ocean floor include the continental shelf, the ridges and trenches, and the seamounts, some of which are islands. The land features are also visible, with rivers shown, low lying areas are in green, while high elevations are in brownish colors.

The New England Aquarium is one of the premier aquariums in the country. There is a fee to enter - check the web site for details. Parking is available at a parking garage nearby, or save a few bucks and take the Blue Line of the MBTA subway to the Aquarium Station.
