This is a large polished granite monument standing at the northeast corner of the Conway County Library. Nathan Green served with distinction in the armed forces during WWII and later as Lt. Governor of Arkansas. This block of granite memorializes his daring feat of rescuing 15 downed airmen under heavy enemy fire. The feat is described in the text of the memorial which is readable in one of the pictures.
