This morning 5-28-2011 we were in Sandy City Utah watching the skies to see the space station pass overhead. Outspoken was in Thornton Colorado to see it pass in her area. This was such a fun wonderful experience.
With partly cloudy skies above we were still able to see the Space Station as it passed by. The ISS was visible at my location starting at 5:06:40 am MST coming from SW reaching a maximum elevation of 62° while traveling to the ENE. It was visible for 5:09 minutes and came as close as 267 miles (430 kilometers) at its maximum altitude of 332°. Maximum altitude was at 5:09:28 am. The ISS traveled 369.02 miles NE (60°) [593.8801 kilometers] in 54 seconds from Sandy, UT at maximum altitude time of 05:08:29 am MST to 05:09:25 am MST in Thornton, CO. The magnitude of this orbit was -3.5.
