The library is located within the Royal Arsenal at Woolwich. The building was the Royal Laboratory Office before changing to become the library.
The archives, also stored at the Library, consist of pamphlets, manuals, personal and technical papers, photographs, documents, together with unit records from the 18th century to the present day. The archives contain over 5,000 individual collections. Material is received from a wide variety of sources, including RA units and establishments, members and ex-members of the Regiment, the Ministry of Defence and the general public.
