The Taubman House at 1522 South Street was built circa 1885. It is considered the most significant example of the Queen Anne style in Lexington. The ornate 2 1/2 story brick house feature a conical tower and a domed turret. The house also has ornate tall chimneys and decorative tiles around the turret. The house also has stained glass in some of the windows, a slate roof and an encircling porch with gingerbread trim. The house is in very good condition and is well maintained.
