Long Description:
The street-facing side displays a sun half-eclipsed by a half-moon (not astronomically possible, but a common enough artistic motif that there must be an established name for it -- anybody know?). The other sides contain the advice "Dream as if you'll live forever" and "Live as if you'll die today."

The side with "Dream" on it also has another sentence that is mostly, but not totally, painted over: "Then wake up and live like you are dying." I don't know if this was made this way by the artist, or whether somebody vandalized the painting with this slogan, which was later painted over.

The sun/moon side is signed "Rachel Reyes 8/10".

The painting of utility boxes in the Mira Mesa neighborhood of San Diego is sponsored by the Mira Mesa Town Council (a volunteer/business organization) and has been spearheaded by the Mira Mesa High School art department. See (visit link) for more information.

There are photos of about 30 of the other Mira Mesa utility boxes, some with info about the artists, at (visit link) .
