Nordborg Continuation School was founded in 1921 by wholesaler Johan Hansen, Copenhagen - born in Havnbjerg. Als Noerherred was an independent dukedom until 1729.
The castle grounds are open 10-17.
Every second weekend in June, the castle area hosts a big music festival (which requires a ticket in advance).
