Marker Text: The south section of this building was designed by Charles H. Wheeler for Senator W. E. Sanford as a clothing warehouse. A fire in 1941 destroyed the upper three floors. The north section was the garage built in 1907 for Joseph Maw, who made it the city's first great automotive centre.
