The Midway welcome sign is a beautifully wood carved and painted sign which shows the towns heritage. Midway is known for their Swiss style and most of the homes and surrounding are about the Swiss. The town's first settlers were Swiss and their heritage has been kept alive for many years. They even have a Swiss Days celebration in September. Midway is a quiet bedroom community no large grocery stores or fast food chains there. The shops there are mostly on main street and family run business.
