My kids and I were walking around Merrickville one day and saw this place. The kids were curious to know what a psychic was and I did my best to try and explain it to them. I took a few pics as I thought the sign was cool. I went home and did some research and found out that the owner (Connie Adams) claims to be a medium of exceptional power and ability. She offers tea leaf readings, tarot readings, dream analysis, seances and ghost walks.
I was kind of taken by the whole thing and asked around if anybody had heard anything of this establishment. A female friend at work told me that her cousin had recently lost her mother (her aunt) and went to this place for a seance. My co-worker stated that her cousin told her that she was absolutely sure she spoke with her dead mother. My co-worker was skeptical as was I, but who knows, if this woman is who she claims to be, then The Merrickville Psychic Parlor could very well be a conduit to the world of the dead.
