This old vehicle has seen a lot of action in its day when it helped transport people and canoes across the Four Mile Portage to Basswood Lake. This old 50’s era Chevy Suburban traversed the rutted road which used to be a logging railroad back in the logging days. This car is easily found by canoeing about 2 miles across Fall Lake to the landing at the Four Mile Portage and turning left on the path leading to the vehicle. When approaching the landing note the numerous posts that used to support the logging camp dock.
Note: This waymark can be approached only by canoe or motor boat.
